Synopsis

As Steve Rogers returns home after his adventures in the United Kingdom and at the beginning of Secret Wars II, the Jack Monroe identity crisis that began in Captain America # 307 comes to its conclusion. With a suggestion from Jarvis, Nomad tracks down Madcap's Coney Island home, and befriends him, hoping to bring an end to his, well, madcap antics . Nomad learns Madcap's tragic story. Nomad and Madcap battle again with Captain America watching  from the shadows, determined to give his protégé independence. Nomad is able to capture Madcap, giving him the confidence to go his own way as a crime fighter instead of being Captain America's sidekick.  Also in this issue, the Cobra is freed from Rykers Island by Sidewinder, Princess Python is also visited by Death Adder, and Constrictor is recruited by Anaconda in a bar, leading into the following issue's debut of the Serpent Society. Steve Rogers also loses his job.
